On the way there, Lindsey and I happened to see this license plate on the car in front of us! (It says "1337")

Here's the first picture I got, parked at the barrier in the road:

We walked up the road, and I got these photos as we got closer. We didn't go past the gate you see here, even though Lindsey wanted to. I saw real cameras on the building and had heard that they were pretty serious about the security. In these pictures you can see which part of the building has been refinished and where the rest of it is still in shambles.

We walked back down the hill a little bit, and then up through a few shrubs. We're still technically trespassing, but I got a pretty good view of the building as a whole.

As we walked the rest of the way down the hill to my car, I saw this rather ominous sign:

We walked around to the other side of the building and through some woods and up the hill again, this time we're right up close and this is when we were seen by the cameras and had to run like fugitives back down the hill to avoid being caught...

It was a fun, if not so much informative, trip. It was pretty amazing seeing this building after all I'd read about it, and when we go back for the formal tour, I'll get all kinds of crazy pictures to post up here!
