Wow...this is a couple weeks late, but I didn't know the file was broken until just a couple days ago. Here's the fixed podcast from GDC 2008!

Success! I finally got my computer to connect to the wireless in my hotel room, and even though the conference is almost over, here is a

Hello all! As I am currently in the process of finishing up my last semester of college, I have postponed the podcast until I graduate this December. I will certainly be back up and running by January, and I hope if you're a listener that you'll hang around until then. Feel free to send me an email if you'd like, I check my email several times a day and will happily get back to you. Thanks for your support of the show!

Episode 19 was a live show done with the lovely people of All Games Considered at the recent CONglomeration here in Louisville. It was a fun experience doing a live show, and I hope you all enjoy it!

Thought I'd post this, since I recently got the video uploaded to YouTube. This was a video which came about when the video class and the digital music class at U of L grouped up to create some films. I did all the music and sound, and the video and animation was all done by Jimmy Brooner, an art student here. It was a lot of fun to do. Enjoy!

Ahhh...summer break. Great for sleeping, gaming, and podcasting! It's nice to have time to be back at it, but I've given up on attempting regular episodes. I just don't have time! Anyway, this episode I talk about Blizzard's possible new games, wanting better Wii games, DRM free music, the possible woes of the much-lauded iphone, and the discovery of the motet from the Rosslyn Chapel that was hidden in code for over 600 years.

This week I talk about a new D&D book, Apple's call for game developers, how to put together a mix CD for your tabletop gaming session, as well as techniques on surviving a zombie attack.

I'm by myself tonight, and maybe for a while. The show's a little shorter, a little more solid, and who knows what awaits GRE. I won't let another two month gap come between episodes though!

Woo! Episode 12 is up and ready to roll! AJ, Stephen, and myself talk about YouTube, lockpicking, Oak Island and it's hidden treasure, and order another pizza. Also, there's a promo this episode, part of my ongoing mission to connect with other podcasters and reach a larger audience. Speaking of, if you've never been to the site before, welcome and thanks for coming! I hope you enjoy this little pet project of mine.

So you may have noticed if you look up that I've redesigned the logo a bit, and if you look to the right, you'll notice I've added some links. I've also made a few general changes to various parts of the website in an effort to get it looking a little better. I've added links to directly download mp3's of each show in the Listen section as well. Enjoy, and Episode 12 should hopefully be on the way soon!

Yeah, so school started up, and that's my only reason for a nearly two month break between episodes. I'm on my own this time, ranting about PS3 and raving about the new D&D Dungeon Tile set.
Posted by Russ
Man, even when I record the episodes on time I can't get them online for a week more! Jeez! Anyway, another good episode, this time with Stephen, Lindsey, and AJ (remember AJ?) Anyway, we talk about some cool things such as the 40th anniversary of the release of The Beatles album "Revolver" and the hip-hop genre. D&D talk, we order a pizza, good times. I apologize for the odd clicks and skips in the audio you'll hear, my computer was struggling to keep up with everything. Enjoy!

Girls join GRE for the first time! My sister and my girlfriend sit in on this episode (Stephen's here too, but he's not as good looking). We give a Waverly update (has it really been a month and a half since we talked about that?!) some more D&D discussion, Lindsey talks about the problems with being a girl in World of Warcraft, and my sister talks about Ultimate Frisbee.
Speaking of Waverly, here are the pictures I took on our little excursion out there:
WAVERLY HILLS PICTURES
And here is a short video I took that gives a full view of the building. Right at the end you hear the car coming that Lindsey and I had to run from!
QUICK VIEW BEFORE BEING CHASED OFF
Hope you enjoy! Once I get a real tour, there will be more, no doubt. Enjoy!

Stephen sits in with me again for this episode, talks about starting a fresh new D&D campaign, getting my girlfriend into World of Warcraft, and a totally unexpected topic that's sure to be a lot of fun!

Well I finally got a new episode recorded. This is Kit's last as a cohost, and I must say, I'm sorry to see him go. We discuss all the craziness that is E3, as well as the new Magic block and various other things. It's business as usual on Green Ring Ethos, and business is good.
Posted by Russ
I'm sorry to say that my cohost, Kit, will be moving to Seattle in a couple weeks. This is a choice he has put a lot of thought into and has decided it is what is best for him. We will record one more show in the format that we have so far, and after that, I am working on some ideas for where to take the podcast from there. If any listeners would like to send me some suggestions, that would be fantastic, and will be taken into consideration. Just send me an email. Thanks for your patience in this long gap between episodes, but we're all doing what must be done, so we'll see how it works out. I have no intention of letting the podcast die, but some thought must be put in to where to take it. Again, thanks for your understanding and thank you for listening!
Posted by Russ
Here's a short podcast for all you listeners out there (haha) since it's been a while. Just wanted to let you know that we're still here, and to explain the lack of casting lately. Thanks for listening!
Posted by Russ
Shorter episode this week, as Kit and I discuss a wider range of topics including Bambi 2, Bigfoot, and the XTREME possible price point of the PS3. Youuu mussst lisstteeennnnn!!!
Posted by Russ
A different format this week, more of roundtable discussion than splitting up into sections. In any case, it's great fun, as Stephen and Kit and myself struggle to stay awake and interesting for an hour! A great conversation about artistic integrity follows, however, and all is well.

It's late and I'm sleepy, but Episode Four is up! This week, Stephen sits in with Kit and I, we talk about the upcoming magic set, Rogues as a D&D class, and a much-needed discussion on music and America's response to the British Invasion. Also, launching Nerf darts at cats! Enjoy.
Posted by Russ
This week we added a third cast member, and I'd say that the difference is substantial. Conversation flowed, laughs were had, and all around it just was the best episode yet. Which is good, because if we were going downhill by the third episode, then we'd be in trouble. Go get Episode 3 now, and join in the good times.

Episode 2 is finished. Production values have gone up, I've added music! This week Kit and I talk about the new Macs, the top 10 selling videogames of the year, Pirates, D&D classes, and Electroplankton! Thanks to those who downloaded the first episode, that's really cool. Further news to follow as developments unfold.
Posted by Russ
The first episode is up and running for download! Good times a'rollin, as Kit and I discuss Pirates!, D&D races and small DVD screens on small refrigerators!
Posted by Russ
Just set up the test feed and tried it with iTunes...after some fighting I finally got it to work, so very shortly the first episode should be up and running! I hope to get it recorded tomorrow perhaps...
